It is always my goal to help people retain their natural teeth in health and function by restoring their smile and ability to eat and speak with comfort. I find the practice of periodontics to be extremely intellectually challenging and stimulating. Even after 20 years of practice, I continue to be fascinated by the various procedures for aesthetic gum treatment, dental implants, and regenerative therapy.
I regularly attend general dental and specialty conferences at the regional and national level to learn about the best, most effective ways to improve my patients’ periodontal health. Additionally, I was a pre-clinical instructor in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and a clinical instructor in Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
My wife and I have been married for 20 years and we have two sons who are very active in their school sports. After work, I enjoy playing baseball, soccer, and basketball with my boys. I have been a Red Sox fan all my life, and more recently a supporter of the New England Revolution. I coach soccer and baseball, play softball, and in my leisure time, enjoy fishing, reading, and hiking.

Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry 2012
I take several continuing education courses throughout the year so I can keep informed about the newest and most proven research and developments in the field of pediatric dentistry. It is very important that I stay at the cutting edge of my field’s advancements so that I am able to provide each of the little smiles I treat with the utmost the dental industry has to offer.
My interest in Orthodontics initiated when I was a teenager, as I was a patient of my father who was my Orthodontist. My Orthodontic treatment started with me having to wear head gear and eventually braces. I do not remember complaining about it, but I was not sure it was going to fix my teeth, until I saw and compared the initial pictures taken at the beginning of my treatment, to the results at the end. I was fascinated by the results, and so grateful that my teeth looked nice, aligned, and no more overbite. Since then, I worked hard to follow my father’s steps and accomplishments. I take pride in making that change in people’s smiles and self-esteems. I like educating my patients, and most importantly making the whole process fun and comfortable.

By using state of the art technology, root canal therapy can often preserve a damaged tooth that would otherwise require extraction. I enjoy educating patients to have realistic expectations of what root canal therapy involves, while providing treatment that is skilled, compassionate, and pain free in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
